Globally Harmonized System / Safety Data Sheet (GHS/SDS) Development [Safety Engineering]
Material safety data sheets (MSDS) once required in the early 1980's have evolved over time, largely due to our more advanced understanding of how chemicals impact our local ecologies, as well as the potential for adverse toxicological impacts with our movement from domestic enterprises to a global marketplace. The OSHA 8-part MSDS and the ANSI 16-part MSDS are no longer acceptable, with a focus on reworking older product MSDS and new product MSDS documents into the new GHS/SDS (Globally Harmonized System/Safety Data Sheet). Consider visiting the OSHA Brief document regarding new GHS/SDS format requirements.
We offer not only a document development process that produces a fully compliant GHS/SDS, but we also seek to fully understand your intended product uses (current or potential) as a means of assisting you with marketing through compliance. We offer a process that does not turn out a default informational document, but one that works closely with you in a joint-systems approach to produce a detailed, focused, and tailored informational document. Assign your staff scientists to more innovative product investigation projects. Assign us your GHS/SDS development.
Technical Data/Product Sheet Development [Safety Engineering]
Not all product technical documents are sufficiently documented with an GSH/SDS such as physical products, tools, or even chemical products. When potential investors, clients, and your related market arena demands more documentation of your product's specifications a Technical Data Sheet or Product Sheet are necessary to communicate your innovation.
We offer a process that clearly defines and produces your Technical Data Sheet or Product Sheet with absolute clarity, specificity, and a linear sense of information transfer to your affected readers. Let us design and produce your Technical Data Sheets and keep you and your staff working on producing more products.

Technical Document Editing [Safety Engineering]
If you have already drafted your Technical Document (MSDS or GHS/SDS, Technical Data Sheet, Product Sheet, etc) it is often advantageous to pursue peer review prior to publication. As with any other R&D process peer review is best achieved through third party review.
We offer our wide cross-section of industry experience and education to understand your document, it's intended prose and voice, and graduate-level technical writing critique. Let us edit your already drafted technical documents.

White Paper Development
One of the most critical aspects of communicating an innovative new system, idea, or even product is through the use of white papers. Every R&D process either starts or builds from the shoulders of others. Your organization may have the need to produce a White Paper for written or public proceedings as a result of your initiated or completed R&D process.
We offer a systems-based approach to developing White Papers for your organization. First, we sit down and visit with you to understand your intended idea or product, your intended audience, and your intended medium (written or verbal or both). Second, we collaborate ideas for main themes and ways to articulate your data specifications without sharing critical, unique aspects of your design. Third, we draft and peer review (first review) a White Paper. Fourth, we ask you to peer review our own draft as we make alterations at your request. We want to design your White Paper while you and your staff continue other critical work.
*Please also see our Biotech R&D page.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Development [Operations Engineering]
Within every given scientific process lies the presupposition that reliability is inherent in the systems comprising the process. We define conformance to the standard that the system is built upon in terms of "quality." Standardized quality systems. As such, accrediting bodies routinely audit systems against published Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). These SOP's define the work systems, in turn defining the process. Systems quality is only as good as the SOP.
We offer SOP writing, auditing, and editing. Give us a defined work system and we will create an SOP for that system. Give us a problematic system and we will compare it against any available SOP. Keep your standardized quality systems healthy and evolving with your processes. Hire us to write your SOP's. Get you and your staff back to the business of producing.

Field Sampling/Measurement [Safety/Environmental Engineering]
Field sampling and measurement has become a scientific field of endeavor all its own. As accuracy and precision of any testable process is driven by the sample, industry is quickly adopting field sampling methodology that aligns within the field of standardized quality systems.
We offer ISO 17025 (NEFAP) compliant field sampling and measurement. The ISO standard (adopted for many testing laboratories and other organizations performing field measurement) was drafted and adopted by The NELAC Institute (TNI) as a means of ensuring uniform accuracy and precision outside of the traditional laboratory setting. We offer standardized field sampling, field measurement, and laboratory/process floor sub-sampling for all industry types. We calculate population size, statistical sample size, and validate our sampling with quality system metrics (i.e., field blanks, equipment blanks, etc.).
For special sampling (confined space, IDLH, environmental remediation, etc.) we maintain 40hr HAZWOPER certification with Level A, B, and C respiratory fit testing, partnering with only the following graduate-degreed staff and U.S. regulatory agency-certified organizations for the following types of field services support:
- Eclipse Safety Specialists (all special sampling involving confined space, IDLH, high-energy potential environments, etc.)

Process/Product Evaluation [Operations Engineering]
Product and related processes sometimes do not conform to the standard. Many times, the root cause for the problem evades those engineers and scientists closest to the process. A new set of experienced eyes with a mindset of quality systems and continuous improvement is needed to understand the relevant aspects of the problem and to define root cause.
We offer a wide cross-section of experience coupled with a strong academic understanding of applied operations engineering. We couple Dr. Edward Deming's quality philosophy with contemporary engineering management principles/tools to understand the problem, perform Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA), define potential root cause, and then work with your staff to produce viable potential corrective action or preventative action to solve the problem.

We are pleased to initiate and execute client Confidentiality Agreements prior to project assessment.
